Getting Started
On first launch, choose whether to continue free or unlock Premium. The free version tracks up to 3 habits. Premium unlocks unlimited habits, tags, and auto filters. Appearance settings stay free.
Habits
Create, organize, and track your habits from the main list.
Analytics
Review progress over time with completion grids and trend charts.
Create a Habit
- Open the Habits tab.
- Tap the + button.
- Enter a habit name.
- Choose Complete for a done/not done habit or Count for a numeric target, such as 8 glasses of water.
- Choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
- Pick a color and optional marker.
- Premium users can assign tags.
- Tap Save.
Count habits support targets from 2 to 20.
Track Progress
On the Habits tab, tap the progress circle on a habit row to record progress.
- Complete habits toggle between open and complete.
- Count habits increase by 1 until they reach the target.
- Weekly and monthly habits count progress across the current week or month.
- Streak badges appear after 2 or more completed periods in a row.
Tap a habit row to open the quick adjustment panel. From there you can increase progress, decrease progress, skip the habit, or close the panel.
Use the arrow button in the header to switch between Today and Yesterday.
Skip a Habit
Open a habit's adjustment panel and tap Skip. Skipped habits show as skipped and do not count toward completion for that period.
Organize Habits
Edit, Reorder, or Delete Habits
Tap the pencil button in the Habits header to enter edit mode. Use edit mode to reorder habits.
Long-press a habit row to open actions: Edit, Rename, or Delete. Deleting a habit removes the habit and its progress history.
Use Tags
Tags are a Premium feature. Tags help group habits by routine, area, or project.
To assign tags, edit a habit and choose tags in the habit editor. To filter by tag, turn on tags in Settings > Organization > Show tags, then use the tag chips at the top of the Habits tab. Tap All to clear filters. Multiple selected tags show habits matching any selected tag.
Auto Filters
Auto filters are a Premium feature. They automatically switch visible tag filters based on time of day.
Go to Settings > Organization > Auto Filters to create time blocks. Each time block needs a name, start time, end time, and at least one tag. Time blocks cannot overlap.
Analytics
Open the Analytics tab to review progress. Use the habit type menu to switch between Daily Habits, Weekly Habits, and Monthly Habits.
Choose an available timeframe, such as Week, Month, or Year. Analytics includes a completion-intensity Grid and a Trend chart over time.
Use the chips below each chart to view all habits together or focus on one habit.
Widgets & Shortcuts
Widgets
Habits includes Home Screen widgets in small, medium, and large sizes: All Habits, Habit Graph, and Tag Graph.
Edit a widget to choose the habit or tag it should show. Tapping a widget opens the related area in the app.
Shortcuts
Open Settings > Shortcuts or the Shortcuts app to find Log Habit Progress, Skip Habit, Get Habit Summary, and Show Habit.
Logging, skipping, and summaries can run without opening the app. Shortcuts support Today and Yesterday.
Data & Settings
Edit Past Entries
- Open Settings.
- Go to Data & Backup > Edit Past Entries.
- Choose a habit.
- Move between months with the arrow buttons.
- Tap a past day to cycle progress.
- Long-press a past day for precise controls: increase, decrease, skip, unskip, or clear.
Today and future days are not editable from this page.
Back Up and Restore
Go to Settings > Data & Backup. Export Backup creates a JSON backup of habits, tags, and progress history. Restore from Backup replaces current app data with the selected backup after confirmation.
Habits stores data locally, so exporting backups is the best way to keep a portable copy of your data.
Appearance Settings
Go to Settings > Appearance to choose System, Light, or Dark theme and an accent color. Go to Settings > Habit List to show or hide the total completed summary and progress numbers inside progress indicators.
